Midweek Highlights at First UMC Bridgeport

This is called the Church of Pentecost. I took the picture yesterday morning here in Bridgeport on CR 3214 where I like to walk. I have become acquainted with their pastor, Mike Wiltcher.

I think all congregations should be a church of Pentecost, filled with God’s Holy Spirit to be alive and active in the world! We are alive and active at First UMC, sometimes more than others. Let us pray for God’s Spirit and Presence to rule in our hearts, and homes, and in our witness in this community!

Memorial Service for Honora Brown

I am planning to go to First Presbyterian Church in Ardmore, OK on Thursday, July 7, 2016, to be with Bunny and Richard Perry for Honora Brown’s memorial service. Honora is Bunny’s mother, who turned 100 on November 1, 2015.

Prayers for our Youth Mission Team

Our Youth Mission Team are now in San Antonio working with children in a Vacation Bible School. Pray for their safety, their unity, and the witness they make with the people they serve!
