First Methodist Bridgeport… Who are we? Our mission statement is “Love God, Share God.” We are a neighborhood church that loves our community and we work to find ways to support it.
We have two food pantries. Loaves and Fishes is our “in-house” pantry that is open Mondays to Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. These are dry goods available to those living in Wise County and in need. It takes several church members to keep the pantry shelves stocked and sacked each week.
Pantry Express is our once-monthly FRESH foods drive-through pantry on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Our members and community volunteers work together to provide these services free of cost to those who qualify.
