John 21:1-14
“Visioning from the Other Side of the Boat”

We invite everyone to join us this Sunday, July 2, 2017! We will have an early traditional worship service, fellowship, Sunday School, and a late traditional service.

8:45 a.m. – Traditional Worship Service
10:00 a.m. – Sunday School
10:00 a.m. – Vacation Bible School Fair (All classes are welcome.)
11:00 a.m. – Traditional Worship Service

On this Sunday, July 2, 2017, at First UMC Bridgeport, Nathan Presley will preach the sermon in both services. Pastor Sam Caldwell will lead worship. Nathan will preach from the post-resurrection story in the last chapter of John (John 21:1-14) with reference to Luke 10:1-4. The title will be “Visioning from the Other Side of the Boat.”

Nathan is beginning candidacy for ministry in the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. He has finished class work at Perkins School of Theology at SMU and is beginning his internship. He currently serves in Youth Ministry at First UMC of Forney, Texas. Nathan is married to Sam and Cathy’s daughter Aubrey and they have one son, Nathaniel, age 3.

Nathaniel is in Vacation Bible School at First UMC Bridgeport this week. Cathy and Sam have been caring for him while Aubrey is doing Continuing Ed for music teachers and Nathan leads in Sr High Camp here at Bridgeport Conference Center.
