COVID-19 update social distancing

Dear Church Family,

Due to the current health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus, we will suspend worship services at our church for the next 2 Sundays. You can be assured that if the situation improves sooner than expected, we will resume our normal schedule.

We will still have our worship service broadcast live via Facebook Live. Go to our Facebook page, First United Methodist Church Bridgeport, and watch the service live at 11:00 a.m. or anytime afterwards. E-mail us your prayer concerns and joys by Friday and we will announce them during the service.

As they say, it is good to count your blessings and even more so to share them! So I invite you to think of some joys you would like to share, and we will celebrate together during the service. Gratitude in life is important and our interrupted schedules may be the perfect time to focus on life’s gifts that we often take for granted.

Wednesday programs such as children and youth, dinner and Bible study are also suspended until April 1st. We are working on ways to stay connected as a church family, so stay tuned for some ways we can continue to celebrate God, life, and care for one another.

Thank you and may the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you!

Pastor Rick
