FUMC Bridgeport Reopening Guidelines

Considering the positive changes in our nations fight against the COVID-19 virus, the reopening committee has met with the following adjustments to our churches policies. We continue to recognize the need to remain as safe as possible, respecting the concerns and needs of a wide variety of our church family.

The wearing of mask are no longer highly encouraged but we continue to encourage mask.

We have returned our Bibles and hymnals to the pews.

We have opened up the Sunday School wing.

Removing restrictions on worship events including youth and children, and the serving of food, along with handouts such as the Sunday bulletin. The above-mentioned events will be up to the discretion of the volunteers and staff leading the service or events.

COVID occupancy guidelines are removed.

We will continue with the Sunday worship use of rotating every other pew between services. This maintains a basic social distance and removes the concern over the use of books and literature back-to-back. At this time, the offering plates will continue to remain at the back of sanctuary.

Thank you for continuing to work with us during this challenging time.
