As we go through this time of Lent, we are reminded of our own mortality, the challenges and difficulties of our everyday life, as well as the joy and beauty of each day. We remember the 40 days Jesus spent in the wilderness, and the remarkable gift of Christ as he loved, lived, and taught among us, even as he journeyed toward crucifixion for the sake of humanity.

Lent is a gift of time. A time to remember what God has done for us in Jesus Christ, and to consider our own lives and how we are called to recognize and respond. But life dose not slow down.

To help us center even as we move through our busy days, members of the Wise area United Methodist Churches have compiled daily devotionals for each of us to read through Lent. A paper copy of the devotional will be available at the church or can be downloaded from our website. In addition, each day we will highlight one of the devotionals on our Facebook page.
